being honest with myself

I uninstalled League of Legends today. Its not the first time I have done this. Out of the same similar frustrations, I have given up on the game in the past.

When I weigh in the positives versus negatives, I find it disproportionately in the negatives. Add to the fact that the company itself Riot Games is filled with a large lgbtq demographic. And even worse the fanbase is, as you would probably imagine no different. Distancing myself from this game, is not at all a bad thing, its a great thing!

I started playing this around season 7. And the best I have ever done in the game is gotten to silver 1. I think this should speak for itself, that I am not improving and I find there is really no benefit any more to waste time in these games.

I do want to focus more on games that actually benefit me, that I have a genuine/sincere interest in.

Did I get rid of League because I am a piss poor player? no! absolutely not. For the better part of why I am removing the game and leaving it behind. It largely has to do with the business itself and how it performs and acts/behaves. I find it disgusting that in June they celebrated, “pride month”. I think its equally as nauseating the subtle yet obvious innuendos and gestures. Frankly, this is not something exclusive to them. Its becoming rampant in all art and entertainment today. And for creations of the past, its destroying them from the inside out.

And last but not least, lets not forget the elephant in the room. Tencent, the mega conglomorate Chinese company that Riot sold out to.

Imagine making one of the worlds most successful video games in the world, and you sell it to a company in China. That is the kind of the people behind this. And it obviously shows through how the scene is.
