Shadowrun on sega cd english translation

I caught wind of this originally from, https://www.timeextension.com/news/2026/09/sega-cd-shadowruns-english-translation-was-developed-using-ai. So, without leaving any guess work, yes, it was apparently made using AI. I am not necessarily against AI. And for the life of me, I cannot figure out and understand why people are so sensitive on the topic. If the original script is being used and its legible enough to understand, and figure out the original story, I am happy with it.

Seriously, I wish people took real life as serious as they do to video games, and other fictional forms of media and entertainment.

As you can see from the screen shots here, the game itself as not at all much different than what you would expect from games like Snatcher or Rise of the Dragon. I never did have Snatcher growing up, but I did have a copy of Rise of the Dragon. But as an adolescent, the content was a little bit too much for my young mind to respond to.

I am actually enjoying what I am seeing and experiencing with this so far. And a lot of the topics and themes from the cyberpunk games, are now being introduced to us in real life. As far as whether or not this is a ideal perspective and precursor to the world to come, is unknown. But I know from what I am hearing from sources, it does sound like a good deal of people are wanting to introduce technology to the physical human body.

The game does have some tactic like combat, you move your character around a grid and have the option of firing a gun or using melee attacks. And every attack is randomly determined from a generated set of dice. So its all random the damage outputs. Using the focused shot, gives you only shot versus using the regular shot, that gives you two shots.

And as you can see from some of my screen shots, there are still spots in the script that are not translated. So far I am able to piece together the story and it does make sense. Whether or not how true to original script it is, I am not too sure.

If you want to make a physical disc out of this, you are going to have to do your own research. (I didn’t create this, and have nothing to do with it.
