Believe you and me, when I was younger. And I was introduced to ideas of heaven and hell. I rebelled against every idea of it. But it was like a nightmare trying to not think about it. Whether right or wrong, being introduced to concepts like this at a young age from my dad. It is any wonder, when religion plays such an impactful role in human beings today.
There are plenty of verses in the Bible that illustrate and examine both Soul and Spirit. I really enjoyed Watchman Nee’s book, “the Release of the Spirit” and, “the Latent Power of the Soul”. I am certain there are several others.
For me, I have been knocked unconscious and been in comas before. Never flat lined or anything, or at least that I am aware. I have had plenty of close calls with life and death. I remember when I was in the ICU at the Henry Ford Clinic in Detroit. And a doctor or surgeon there, was explaining to me. That my organs and especially my liver were failing. And that because of my addictive past, nobody would offer me any organ transplants. It was like, “ok here I am going to die in this hospital.” Miraculously I was able to pull through and got better.
Something that drugs and even withdrawal have shown me are psychosis. I have had sever all instances of both seeing and hearing hallucinations. These come and go both with and without the aid of drugs/alcohol. Admittedly most do come at an expense of drug or alcohol usage.
The human consciousness and especially the soul and spirit are things that are very interesting to me. Especially if after death. We do traverse to another reality.
Think… I mean seriously THINK about it! that is, and of itself our, or your consciousness. You think about the words that will eventually enter into reality. I remember hearing a lot about vibrations and the spiritual. I mean the Bible itself explains that, “life and death are in the power of the tongue”.
I will not be sharing scripture. Believe you and me, with the advent of AI and the Internet. It is not difficult for yourself or anyone else to track down this information for yourself. And its much more beneficial to do just that! knowledge is power.
